Loft Interior Design

Designed for DUMBO Loft Living

DUMBO's historic warehouse architecture creates extraordinary interior design opportunities — when the furniture, lighting, and layout are scaled to match it.

The Architecture

Extraordinary Volume Needs a Plan

A loft gives you light, height, and freedom — and almost no built-in guidance about where anything should go. Standard-scale furniture disappears in the volume, and an unzoned floor plate ends up feeling like a corridor with furniture along the edges.

We plan lofts as a series of defined areas within one open room: living, dining, working, sleeping, and circulation, separated by rugs, lighting, and furniture placement rather than unnecessary walls.

Historic brick, timber, steel, and concrete are treated as assets. Contemporary upholstery, warm woods, and layered lighting soften them so the result is sophisticated rather than raw.

We Design For
  • High ceilings
  • Oversized windows
  • Exposed brick
  • Open floor plans
  • Concrete details
  • Historic beams
  • Industrial elements
  • Large living spaces
  • Modern loft conversions

From Open Shell to Finished Loft

Every layer of a loft project is coordinated so the finished space feels warm, functional, and complete.

Lighting carries much of the work. With ceilings this high, a single overhead fixture cannot do the job — we layer pendants, floor lamps, and accent lighting to bring the room down to human scale after dark.

Storage is planned deliberately, since lofts rarely come with closets in the right places.
